Welcome to Aberdour Hotel – a quite delightful little inn style hotel in the centre of Aberdour. A very friendly, family-run hotel situated in one of the most picturesque villages in Fife. Aberdour is on the north shore of the Firth of Forth River in Central Scotland, close to Edinburgh and to the new Rosyth Superfast Ferry terminal. A superb first stop on a touring holiday in Scotland for those arriving at Rosyth.
The Hotel is owned and operated by Scott & Iona Wilkinson. In the days before railways and the motor car the Aberdour Hotel was a staging-post for stage coaches and so has a courtyard and stable block. We specialise in fresh fayre using local Scottish produce where possible and always have a choice of Real Ale on tap, once again being included in this years "Camra" Good Beer Guide.
Although our buildings date back to the 17th century, all our sixteen bedrooms have en-suite facilities, tea/coffee makers, television and direct-dial telephones. Wi fi internet access is available, free to guests, throughout the hotel. Two of our bedrooms are at ground floor level in our courtyard, affording easy wheelchair access from the car park.
Perfectly situated for golf breaks, weekend breaks and family leisure breaks in Fife, and an excellent peaceful alternative for business travel to Edinburgh (only ½ hour away by regular train service on the doorstep), we also offer long stay, corporate rates, golf breaks packages and off peak Weekend break rates.
Within easy reach are the fishing villages of the 'East Neuk' of Fife, the wonderful Falkland Palace, great golf at St Andrews and throughout the whole surrounding Fife area - and, of course, the many attractions of our capital city - Edinburgh.
