It is impossible to describe the highlands and do it
any justice. The beautiful Highland glens are framed by their own private
sky. If you let your eye follow the horizon you discover new frontiers
and exciting possibilities.
The mysterious hills cradle lochs that were formed 1000's
of years ago by glaciers. The rainbow trout and salmon in the lochs and
the abundant bird life in the hills seem to belie the peaceful silence
in the glens. The dramatic highland mountains played stage to the clan
wars, where heroes and villains alike used the rough landscape as hideout
and home. The colour and shape constantly changes and travelling through
the Highlands provides constant visual stimulation.
The Highlands will no doubt inspire you to produce some
form of art to preserve its complex beauty - even it is only a photograph!
The Highlands are synonymous with Scotland. And so is Whiskey! As well
as some of the most beautiful nature scenes, the Highlands are also where
the famous whiskey trail starts. You can visit the distilleries where
world famous malts like The MacCallan, Glenmorangie and almost 50 others
are produced.
