Sadie & Tam have been operating  Oakbank B&B with the attitude "that the guests that stay with us, if they ever come back to Oban they will return to Oakbank". The amount of repeat business that we receive proves that it works. The only way to get repeat business is to produce VALUE FOR MONEY. As we only cater for 6 guests we can deliver a level of service that other larger and more expensive establishments fail to do. Our guests often say they like the "HOME FROM HOME" Atmosphere.

Oakbank was built
in 1873 and is situated on the hill
overlooking the bay, the
Islands of Kerrera and the
hills of Mull. We are on a
quiet street and only a 5
minute walk to the town
centre and all amenities,
including bus, train station
and ferry terminals
(pick up on request).
The swimming pool and sports
centre is 3 minutes walk and
McCaigs tower 5 minutes.

VIEW FROM BOTH DOUBLE ROOMS AND SITTING ROOM
The view above is from our two double rooms, your lounge and the dining room and is probably one of the best you will find in Oban. It is also one of the reasons we bought the house. The mountain at the back covered in snow is Ben More on Mull and is 25 miles from Oban. It is a joy to look out the window in the morning to this.

Castle Stalker
Eight historic castles are within one hour of Oban including Stalker Castle on the left which is reputed to be one of the most photographed castles in Scotland. It does not matter your interests you will find the area has a wide range of opportunities to suit everyone from all generations. Guests we have had return again and again not just for Sadies breakfasts but for beauty and variety that is on offer in the area. From the sea to the highest mountain in Britain and everything in between.
Kilchurn Castle

Our Tourist Information Office was the second busiest office in Scotland and was visited by over half a million people in 1998, a remarkable achievement considering the town has a population of less than ten thousand in the winter. So if you are wondering whether to include Oban in your vacation plans don't listen to me but 500,000 people cannot be wrong.
